§ Mr. John MackieOur delegation strongly supported the Canadian proposal. After full discussion, the Commission resolved to call the attention of member governments to the serious concern that had been expressed, and recommended them to consider urgently the desirability of preventing an increase in 45W the high seas fishery for salmon for the time being and to give high priority to research into its effects on the stocks.
