§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Health if he will now take steps to stop the practice whereby any increase in nurses' salaries is automatically accompanied by an increase in the charges made for living within the hospital.
§ Mr. SnowThis is a matter for negotiation on each occasion by the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council. The recent increase in board and lodging charges which was linked with a 4 per cent. increase in pay from 1st October, 1967, was recommended by the National Board for Prices and Incomes.
