HL Deb 31 July 1968 vol 296 c392WA
LORD BARNBY

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is the sterling equivalent of all United States dollar loans still outstanding, and what was their sterling value at the rate prevailing when they were contracted.

LORD BESWICK

The information in the following table relates to United States dollar loans to Her Majesty's Government:

dom passports, and who are compelled to leave Kenya.

These arrangements provide that, where such persons are forced to leave Kenya through the withdrawal of permits for residence or for the practice of their trade or profession, the British High Commission will place an endorsement in their passports giving them the right of entry into the United Kingdom. Holders of passports bearing such an endorsement will be given visas by the Indian authorities in Kenya for admission to India, provided they are not otherwise disqualified, with a view to eventual settlement in that country.
