§ Mr. RossThe zoning of land for industrial, residential or other purposes is primarily a matter for local planning authorities through their development plans, and in the short term I am satisfied with their proposals. The Tayside Study at present in progress will provide guidance on the scale and phasing of land requirements in the longer term, to meet the considerable expansion the Government would like to see throughout the area.
