§ Mr. FreesonI am informed by the National Coal Board that the number of wage-earners on colliery books at the end of June, 1968, was 52,600. The figures for the end of March, 1968, 1967, 1966, 1965 and 1964, were 54,600, 59,900, 64,900, 73,800 and 79,400 respectively.
