§ Mr. RossTests have been carried out by the CLASP Development Group and the Building Research Station on the standard CLASP system. Special tests have also been carried out on hostel mock-up assemblies and on two hostels under construction to check the resistance of joints to wind-driven rain. The hostel is designed in all respects to withstand 93W the wind speeds which the Meteorological Office advise are to be expected in Orkney.
