§ 29. Mr. A. Royleasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs if he will meet the wishes of the people of Hong Kong by visiting the colony in order to underline Her Majesty's Government's support of Hong Kong in combatting subversion.
§ Mr. George ThomsonIf a suitable opportunity occurs I should have great pleasure in visiting the Colony. The determination of Her Majesty's Government to support the Hong Kong Government in any measures necessary to maintain peace, order and good government has already been publicly stated on more than one occasion and I am glad to take this opportunity to reiterate those statements.
