§ 81. Mr. Brooksasked the Attorney-General how many prosecutions since 1945 have been conducted for infringements of the Official Secrets Act against those who, by virtue of their office or duties under the Crown, fell within its scope.
§ The Attorney-GeneralThere have been 30 such prosecutions since 1945. Of these, 12 were for offences under Section 1, and 17 for offences under Section 2, of the Official Secrets Act, 1911; and one was for an offence under Section 7 of the Official Secrets Act, 1920.
