Friend has received representations from a number of firms and organisations; 309W he has replied reaffirming the Government's view that the Transport Bill will increase the efficiency of transport services to the Scottish economy but that certain technical aspects of the Bill, in particular the provisions about abnormal loads, are being specially considered by the Transport Committee of the Scottish Economic Planning Council.
