§ 36. Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make an approach to President Nasser with a view to effecting the immediate release of the ships trapped in the Bitter Lakes.
§ Mr. Goronwy Roberts:The United Arab Republic authorities have announced that they intend to arrange for the release of the ships; and the United Arab Republic official spokesman is reported to have said yesterday that it was hoped that work to release them could begin in approximately ten days.
