§ Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Minister of Technology what reductions in planned expenditure on industrial research in his Department's civil establishments in Scotland will result from the decisions announced in Command Paper No. 3515.
§ Mr. Benn:The reduction in planned expenditure other than on staff at the Ministry's industrial research stations in Scotland in 1968–69 will be less than 2 per cent. Within the overall standstill referred to in Command 3515, the number of staff at the Scottish establishments will in fact increase slightly.
