§ Mrs. Ewingasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will introduce legislation to secure for authors a charge for the use of their works in free library services on the basis of a charge per borrowing.
§ Miss Jennie LeeThe Arts Council published in January a pamphlet entitled "The Arts Council and Public Lending Right". This pamphlet is a summary of the report of the working party set up by the Literature Panel of the Arts Council which the Council has sent to me for the consideration of the Government. No decisions have yet been taken on this.
