§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyAssistance offered in the Scottish Development Area under the Local Employment Acts was£15.2 million in 1964–65,£15.6 million in 1965–66 and£19.5 million in 1966–67. In the period April-December, 1967 it amounted to£15.5 million. In addition investment grants totalling£28.5 million were paid to firms in the Scottish140W Development Area in the period April-December, 1967. Separate estimates are not available for 1968–69.
