§ Mr. SwinglerFor planning purposes public expenditure on the English road programme for the years 1968–69 and 1969–70 had been estimated as in the region of£280 million and£300 million respectively before the announcement of the cuts. Estimated expenditure is now expected to be about£14 million and£24 million lower.
