asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of Countries which are treated by Her Majesty's Government as developing countries.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody:

I would refer to my reply to the hon. Member on 26th January in which I said there is no classification of countries in this respect which has been generally adopted internationally.

While Her Majesty's Government recognise in various ways the special needs of developing countries, there is no definitive list of such countries applicable for all purposes.—[Vol. 757, c.198.]
