§ Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in view of the fact that the practice of Her Majesty's Government in withholding more than 15 per cent. from dividends paid to holders of United Kingdom securities who are not resident in the United Kingdom is contrary to the agreement reached with the International Monetary Fund, what steps he proposes to take to conform with this agreement.
§ Mr. Harold Lever:The withholding of tax from dividends at a rate above 15 per cent. does not run counter to any agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
