Earl of Dalkeithasked the Lord President of the Council whether he will move to reduce the three-week time limit for tabling Questions to the Prime Minister to two weeks so as to enable more topical subjects to be reached orally.
§ Mr. Crossman:The three-week limit was introduced following a recommendation of the Select Committee on Procedure in their Second Report for the Session 1964–65. If, however, there is now a general wish for changes in the Question Roster, I suggest that they should in the first instance be discussed as normally, through the usual channels.
