asked the Postmaster-General by what authority he distributes mail containing political pro- paganda, sent out by the illegal régime in Rhodesia.

Mail from Rhodesia, like that from elsewhere abroad, is dealt with in accordance with the powers accorded to me by the Post Office Act, 1953 and by the regulations made under that Act.

Matter of the kind referred to by my hon. Friend would not offend against the regulations. In any case, as there is no censorship of mail in this country, we do not know what the contents of particular packets are.
