§ 95. Sir G. de Freitasasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the danger inherent in the use by public service vehicles of re-cut tyres, he will seek to extend the regulation governing their use.
§ Mr. Marsh:No. I am aware of no evidence that the use of re-cut tyres on public service vehicles is a source of danger. These heavy duty tyres are manufactured with an additional depth of rubber to permit re-cutting and this process is normally carried out expertly and safely.
