§ 127. Mr. Dribergasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will take steps to ensure that prisoners, especially those with histories of mental disturbance, are no longer issued with belts, ties and other common instruments of suicide.
§ Mr. CallaghanI have arranged for all prison clothing to be altered so that belts and braces are not required. This is now in progress and will be completed early next year.
