§ 131. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many teachers at present teaching in the county of Angus have failed to register with the General Teaching Council.
§ Mr. RossThe latest information I have is that there are in the schools 20 teachers who are entitled to register but have not yet applied for registration; and that there are 20 who have applied but294W from whom the fee has not yet been received.
§ Mr. Dempseyasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will give an assurance that there will be a review of the composition of the General Teaching Council for Scotland and that meanwhile no dismissal notices will be issued to certificated teachers, in view of the teacher shortage.
§ Mr. RossAs to the first part of the Question I have nothing to add to my reply on 2nd December to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Cathcart (Mr. Edward M. Taylor). I am sending my hon.
