Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Emloyment and Productivity what action she has taken, or intends taking, in the case of a supermarket firm who have admitted charging their customers double the normal price of some articles purchased in their stores; and in view of the fact that this practice, details of which have been sent to her, is widespread, whether she will make a statement.
§ Mr. HattersleyI have no knowledge of this practice which does not involve matters for my Department. If my hon. Friend has evidence that leads him to believe that customers are being defrauded he should report the matter to the police.
