HC Deb 09 December 1968 vol 775 c4W
Sir G. Wills

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will consider refunding the fee paid by an applicant for a driving test if the applicant is unable to give the required three days' notice of cancellation because of illness or accident.

Mr. Bob Brown

The circumstances in which a driving test fee may be refunded are laid down in Section 25 (2) of the Road Traffic Act, 1962. We are considering whether anything can or should be done in those cases where unduly harsh treatment arises as a result of this provision and the related Regulations.
