Dr. Dickson MahonWork on the last section of M8 has just started, and by the end of 1970 it should be possible to travel all the way between Edinburgh and Glasgow on dual carriageways. Work started at Newbridge last month on the first stage of the section of the M9 between Edinburgh and the Polmont Falkirk bypass, and the remaining stage should be completed in the early 1970s.
