§ The Prime MinisterThe development of sport in Scotland is already one of the responsibilities of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland. He has specific statutory functions under the Physical Training and Recreation Act, 1937, and the Education (Scotland) Act, 1962, and closely related responsibilities in other fields. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Education and Science with special responsibility for sport in Great Britain, acts in relation to Scotland, in consultation with my right hon. Friend.
