§ 62. Mr. Colemanasked the Minister of Labour what arrangements she is making to provide alternative employment for those workers who will be rendered redundant as a result of the decision of the National Coal Board to close the Oullwyn colliery washery in the Dulais Valley.
Mr. WalkerAbout 120 workers are likely to be discharged on 24th May. Arrangements are in hand to interview those affected before they are discharged. Everything possible will be done to find them alternative jobs though there are bound to be difficulties in the case of some of the elderly and disabled workers.
