HL Deb 23 April 1968 vol 291 c622WA
LORD VIVIAN

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will consider, as a matter of urgency, the necessity to reinstate a price differential for the supply of heavy steel plates for ship-building.

LORD STONHAM

The Government have no statutory power to determine the price of shipbuliding steel, but they are keeping in close touch with the current discussions between the British Steel Corporation and the shipbuilders.

House adjourned at three minutes past ten o'clock.
