§ Mr. William RodgersThe Saudi Arabian Goverment agreed to Mr. Phillips' appointment on 17th January, but following an article in theJewish Chronicle of 27th March drawing atten- 8W tion to his background, agreement was withdrawn. Her Majesty's Government regret this decision but, in keeping with international practice, must accept it.
