HC Deb 11 April 1968 vol 762 cc324-5W
Mr. Rossi

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what sub-regional study groups he has established; and what other groups he intends to set up.

Mr. MacDermot

My right hon. Friend does not often set up sub-regional studies on his own except in the context of a potential new town or major growth point such as the Central Lancashire New Town. He is however associated to a widely varying extent with a large number of studies of sub-regions, which are usually commissioned by the local planning authorities involved. Some sub-regional studies have also been undertaken at the initiative of Regional Planning Councils.

If the hon. Member wishes any more specific information, perhaps he will write to me.
