HC Deb 11 April 1968 vol 762 c293W
28. Sir C. Osborne

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received from organised bodies, for the reintroduction of corporal punishment for attacks of a brutal and savage nature on bank clerks, post office workers, and all who carry or guard large sums of money; and, in view of the growing public anxiety over these crimes, what steps he proposes to take to reduce them.

Mr. Callaghan

I have received no recent representations on this subject.

On the second part of the Question I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which my hon. and learned Friend gave to his earlier Question on 4th April.—[Vol. 762, c. 128.]
