asked the Minister of Overseas Development if he will make a statement on the outcome of the official talks on development aid with the Sierra Leone Government.

Mr. Prentice

As a result of talks held this week, Her Majesty's Government have offered the Sierra Leone Government an interest-free loan of £560,000 which will be spent on British goods and services. The Sierra Leone Government have accepted this offer. I am also planning an increase in our technical assistance to Sierra Leone.
