Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of his Department's undertaking in November, 1966, to announce a decision with a minimum of delay on the question of import duty on certain ciné films, and his acceptance in June, 1967, that a prima facie case existed for the reimposition of this duty, whether he will now reimpose the duty; and what has been the reason for the delay.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyThe application for reimposition of duty was opposed, and counter-comments from the applicants were received last December. The case then had to be considered in accordance with the Import Duties Act, 1958. My right hon. Friend hopes to announce his decision shortly.
