Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what response the Government intends to make to the appeal for contributions to the United Nations Trust Fund for South Africa transmitted to them on 12th March by the Secretary-General, U Thant.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

Her Majesty's Government contributed £14,286 (40,000 dollars) in August 1967. They are now considering whether to respond to this further appeal.
