HC Deb 03 April 1968 vol 762 c117W
Mr. Brooks

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will undertake not to reduce the amount available this year for grants for the repair of buildings of outstanding historical or architectural importance.

Mr. MacDermot

Yes. In fact, the allocation for England for repair grants under the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act 1953 has been increased from £450,000 for 1967–68 to £550,000 for 1968–69.
