Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what action he is taking to ensure that sufficient facilities are available to convert office machinery and other equipment by the date fixed for decimalisation; and what provision is being made in Government training centres for adequate trained staff for such conversion and maintenance.
§ Mr. Harold LeverThe Decimal Currency Board are encouraging all concerned to make plans for a smooth and speedy change-over though it is impracticable to convert all office machinery and other equipment by 15th February, 1971. Training of staff to convert and maintain machines is the responsibility of the industry.
