Mr. John Fraser

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government in Greater London what is the average time which elapses between the making of a compulsory purchase order under Part V of the Housing Act, 1957 by a local authority and the confirmation of the order by him.

Mr. MacColl

For the year ending 31st March, 1968 the average times were 39 weeks for opposed orders and 18 weeks for unopposed orders, giving an average of 26 weeks for all orders.
