§ Mr. Ellisasked the Minister of Technology if he will make a statement on the suspension of three employees in the former Bristol Siddeley Estimating Department at Coventry pending the inquiries by his Department in connection with the findings in the recent Wilson Report.
§ Mr. BennThis action was taken by the firm on its own initiative. The further inquiries mentioned in the statement made by the firm to the Press refers to inquiries which they are making themselves.
The men were suspended after it had been discovered that certain irregularities had come to light.
My Department has been kept informed. Pending the outcome of the firm's inquiries I do not wish to make any further comment.
