asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the negotiations which are proceeding for the placing in the United Kingdom of orders for naval vessels by the Argentine Government.

No. The Argentine Government have been making inquiries of a number of countries, and all these inquiries are by their nature confidential.
