§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Transport what additional plans she has to enforce payment of the £7 10s. increase in the road fund licence fee and the proposed increases on lorries by those motorists who have for years not paid licensing fees, have not registered their vehicles and have refused to take out a licence.
§ Mr. CarmichaelThe additional penalty provisions introduced last year must be given time to work. Enforcement of the vehicle excise law is a continuous activity and the position is kept under constant review to see what extra measures are necessary or practicable.
