§ Mr. RossIt is the established practice to adjust the statistics of offences of murder made known to the police to exclude offences initially recorded as murder but later found not to be murder, and these figures are compiled for complete years only. Whole-year figures for previous years may be found in the published Criminal Statistics; those for 1967 will be available early in 1968.
