§ Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Minister of Labour how many applications for permits to work in Great Britain were made by Spanish citizens and Gibraltarians, respectively, during the last annual period for which figures are available; and how many of these applications were granted.
§ Mr. FernyhoughIn 1966 applications for work permits in respect of Spanish nationals totalled 10,097; of these, 9,443 were granted. Fifty-two applications for vouchers were made in respect of Gibraltarians in 1966 and 19 vouchers have been issued against these. In addition, 11 of those concerned were
172Wadmitted by means of entry certificates; 12 applications were withdrawn by employers or lapsed; and five applications are still awaiting consideration in turn.
