§ Mr. Edward ShortDirectories are used outside as well as within the areas to which they relate and also by travellers and tourists. I think it desirable, therefore, that directories should be broadly on the same lines everywhere. I am also concerned about the costs which now amount to about £2½ million a year for the country as a whole.
