§ Mr. DarlingThe details of the transactions with the individual banks are confidential, but the total weight of gold placed with the Bank of England by these banks, and later vested in the Custodian of Enemy Property, was approximately 460,220 fine ounces. The gold was sold earlier this year and the proceeds invested.
