HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 c304W
94. Mr. Kelly

asked the Minister of Power if he will make a statement on the recent breakdown in generating equipment at Thorpe Marsh Power Station, setting out the causes of the breakdown, the loss of power resulting therefrom, and the steps to be taken to avoid a recurrence.

Mr. Freeson

No. Since this was a breakdown which did not interrupt supplies it is entirely a matter of day-to-day management for the Central Electricity Generating Board.
