HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 c298W
81. Mr. Dance

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what steps he is taking to ensure that industry is available to accompany population into the areas like Redditch, Droitwich and Dawley, to which overspill from Birmingham is being channelled.

Mr. MacColl

My right hon. Friend is urging the Birmingham Corporation and the other conurbation authorities to help and encourage industrialists to move to these new towns where houses and sites for factories are being made available. As the towns grow they will themselves become increasingly attractive to industry.
