§ Mr. John Hallasked the President of the Board of Trade if it is now proposed to bring gas, electricity, water and taxi meters within the scope of the Weights and Measures legislation.
§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyGas and electricity meters are already subject to statutory controls administered by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Power. I have no present intention to make regulations for water meters, and for taxi meters I do not consider that Weights and Measures control would be appropriate.
