§ Mr. David Mitchellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware that, under an agreement made in 1962, the Southampton Water Board have increased the charge for metered supplies to farmers in the Andover rural district, the Kingsclere and Whitchurch rural district, by an amount varying from 20 per cent. to 70 per cent.; and whether he is satisfied that this does not contravene the prices and incomes policy of the Government.
§ Mr. MacDermotThe increases end the preferential terms which a limited number of consumers have enjoyed for the past five years. They are now paying the same charges as other consumers supplied by the Southampton City Council. My right hon. Friend does not regard these increases as inconsistent with the policy.
