asked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's foreign and economic policies in the Suez area.

The Prime Minister

Her Majesty's Government's policy is to work for a durable peace in the area. We wish also to do all we can to restore trade and navigation in the mutual interests of ourselves and our trading partners.
