§ Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Labour if he will make a further statement on the extent to which training centres are contributing to the solution of the problem of quantity and quality of the skilled labour force required in the North-East to meet the requirements of existing firms to expand and incoming firms to satisfy their skilled labour needs.
§ Mr. HattersleyDuring the last three years nearly 2,900 trainees have completed courses at the three Government training Centres in the North-East. A fourth centre was opened at Killingworth on 16th October. In 1969 two more centres are to open at Darlington and near Durham.
