HC Deb 02 November 1967 vol 753 c16W
Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if, in view of the low density of population in many parts of Wales, he will, in his plan for the reorganisation of local government in Wales, make the delegation of certain powers from county to district authorities compulsory where the population of the proposed district authority exceeds 50,000.

Mrs. White

No. The problem presented by delegation arrangements in the context of local government reorganisation in Wales is fully discussed in the White Paper (Cmnd. 3340).
